Richard Wright, a founding member of the rock group Pink Floyd, died Monday. He was 65.
Pink Floyd’s spokesman Doug Wright, who is not related to the artist, said Wright died after a battle with cancer at his home in Britain. He says the band member’s family did not want to give more details about his death.

I was looking at the stats for the archives and see that one of the most used browsers was iPhone. I would like to know how the experience is for iPhone users and if you have any suggestions to make it better. I would like to make the site more compatible with the new version. Leave a comment or make a post on the forums.

For people who want to download a large amount of podcasts at a time we now have a download that will let download either get a whole year or all podcasts automatically. You need to have .net 3.5 installed to use this program. You can get it here. Once you have that install you can get the downloader. If you would like to see anymore lists to choose from let me know. We host the preston & steve site in a datacenter in houston. they had an ‘incident’ involving an explosion, and disruption of service to 9000 clients, which they are working to fix as soon as possible. here’s the notice that they sent to us:

This evening at 4:55 in our H1 data center, electrical gear shorted, creating an explosion and fire that knocked down three walls surrounding our electrical equipment room Thankfully, no one was injured. In addition, no customer servers were damaged or lost.

We have just been allowed into the building to physically inspect the damage. Early indications are that the short was in a high-volume wire conduit. We were not allowed to activate our backup generator plan based on instructions from the fire department.

This is a significant outage, impacting approximately 9,000 servers and 7,500 customers. All members of our support team are in, and all vendors who supply us with data center equipment are on site. Our initial assessment, although early, points to being able to have some service restored by mid-afternoon on Sunday. Rest assured we are working around the clock.

We are in the process of communicating with all affected customers. we are planning to post updates every hour via our forum and in our customer portal. Our interactive voice response system is updating customers as well.

There is no impact in any of our other five data centers.

I am sorry that this accident has occurred and apologize for the impact.

Preston and Steve drop a giant refrigerator decorated in Capitals colors and filled with baseball and bottle caps from 10 stories high. The enormous excavator and dump truck will then demolish the refrigerator and its contents of bottle caps and baseball caps collected by fans.

Members of the Flyers and Phantoms street team, Phantoms Mascot Phlex, and the Delta Dental Ice Team will be on hand to help crush the caps and provide giveaways to all fans.

The Flyers are encouraging City of Philadelphia to create an Orange Crush by wearing orange and supporting the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday and Thursday of this week.
