The search box in the top right corner will now search both videos and podcasts from any page of the site. Also podcasts and video archives have been merged together to allow for easy browsing. Please let us know if you see any issues on the site.

We will be reorganizing almost every part of the site over the next week or so. During this time parts of the archives may stop working. This is being done to allow for the videos section to continue and to let us post pre-wmmr content.

We are now on android! The new android app that can be found on the market here. The app will allow you to get news, listen to podcast, watch videos, and view the latest pictures. The app is still early on so expect it to only improve over time. There are also a few bugs and it doesn’t yet support background audio playback. If you have any suggestions for the app please let use know.

For many years the Black music listener had to keep their love for Rock music on the downlow fearing that they would be ridiculed by their homeboys and homegirls.
Because of such statements as, “Why you listenin’ to that?” and “Oh, you think you’re white!” the Black Rock listener had to go to and go through the Musical Underground Railroad just to get a taste of Ozzy, Metallica, Kiss,Foo Fighters, and many more.
But with the help of 5 White radio DJs, who overcame radio industry oppression and clawed their way to superstardom, doors were opened for the Rock thirsty listeners of color.
In 2008, a Black Listener named CRAIG LIGGEONS had an idea. He created a song to pay tribute to the long suffering Black Listeners of The Preston & Steve Show.
“I’m a Black Listna” was an instant hit and anthem.
Not long afterwards another Black Listener had a dream. A dream to see the life of Black Listeners celebrated. That Black Listener is WANDA P. HAYWOOD. With the help of those 5 White DJs, Wanda & Craig were able to make that dream a reality, and “The Preston & Steve Black Listna Party” was born.
In 2011 we celebrated the 3rd Annual Black Listna Party which continues to grow and entertain thousands of fellow listeners.
We would like to Thank Preston Elliot, Steve Morrison, Casey Foster, Nick McIlwain, Kathy Romano, and the entire WMMR Team for being our Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie by adopting us long suffering minority radio listeners just looking to be loved and accepted.

If you would like to be able to download the podcast via iTunes or any other podfetcher there is now a feed for all the podcasts in the archive.
To download in iTunes:
Go to Advanced then Subscribe to Podcast then paste http://rss.prestonandsteverock.com/podcast.xml into the text box and hit OK.
It is a very large feed and has over 1300 podcasts in so it will take some time to process and download. If you need any help setting it up please email us or leave a comment on this post.

We have been working on overhauling the video section for the last few months. While upgrading the videos currently posted they might not be accessible at times. Once the upgrade is complete, the video section will also work on iPod/iPad, Android, and Blackberry.
