Yes, Preston & Steve actually live in an RV the entire week – thanks to White Horse RV in Williamstown, NJ for donating the use of the RV, and broadcast their show each morning from the Metroplex. Why? Because there are hungry people in the Delaware Valley in need of food. We’ve got some special events as well, listed below
You can make your donations on-location at the Campout for Hunger at The Metroplex Center in Plymouth Meeting, PA – a development of the Goldenberg Group. Donations for Campout for Hunger will be accepted from Monday, November 28th thru Friday, December 2nd (Monday- Thursday: 6am-8pm & Friday: 6am-10am). All donations benefit Philabundance – feeding the hungry of the Delaware Valley. Philabundance is always looking for volunteers. Get more info.
EXTREMELY LARGE DONATIONS REQUIRE ADVANCED NOTICE. i.e. if you have a donation on a tractor trailer, we’re open to welcoming you at the Metroplex, but we will NOT unload something that large, but rather, we’ll supply directions to the Philabundance Warehouse, where your donation will be weighed and reported to us. They are only open until 3pm, fyi.
Can’t make it out?
Click the ‘Donate Today‘ button on the right to make a monetary donation.
Each day, Monday thru Friday – all donors may register to win that day’s prize (one winner from all eligible entries will be selected each day [Monday thru Thursday between 8 and 9pm; Friday between 10 and 11am]. one entry per person, per day):

Volunteer Information
We do accept volunteer help at Preston & Steve’s Camp Out For Hunger. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of ago or older. All you need to do is show up within the donation times listed above and go right to the small 10’ x 10’ white tent where all the collection bins are located. We do not take advanced day/ hour requests, it is simply open to all. Check in with someone from the MMaRmy, sign the book, complete a Release Form and you are all set. Please do so each day you are on site, so we can keep track.
Volunteers will be expected to assist donors in loading their food into collection bins. You will also need to ask donors if they are participating in any of the donation contests and if so, do they need their food weighed. If so, you will need to coordinate with an MMaRmy staff member to have that donor’s food weighed. Please do NOT attempt to answer any donors questions about prizes or how the contesting works, but rather, direct that donor to an MMaRmy staff member to have their question(s) answered.
There is some heavy lifting involved, as well as some wintry weather – so please be prepared, as we collect food in almost any weather condition. The only refreshments provided are those by the generous donations of local restaurants and businesses, so please feel free to take brakes when you are hungry, enjoy what is on site, bring your own food, or visit a local restaurant or store.
We are very appreciative of all the help and volunteer hours that we receive for this event, and we absolutely could not do it without you. See you there. YOU GUYS ROCK!
